Service · Team and leadership team development

When your team needs to pull in the same direction

A team is more than the sum of the skilled people in it. I help teams and leadership teams build trust and collaboration so their energy goes into the core task.

Perhaps you are a leader who wants more from your team. Perhaps you sit in a leadership team that does not quite play together yet. Either is a good place to start.

Typical situations

When it can make sense

Most teams can do more than they show in everyday work. These are some of the situations where a programme often makes a difference.

The leadership team is not playing together

You sit at the same table, but each of you mostly looks after your own area, and shared decisions become unclear.

New team or new leader

A change of leader, a merger or new members. The team has to find itself again and rebuild trust.

What is not being said

Disagreements are aired in the corridor instead of the meeting, and meetings become polite but not very useful.

Changes that take up space

New goals, a new structure or a workload that wears on collaboration, and you need a shared language for what is happening.

Step by step

How a team programme works

A programme can be a single workshop or several modules over a year. I always adapt it to your team and your task.

  1. Step 1

    Initial conversation

We talk about why the programme is starting and what should be different afterwards. What already works, and what stands in the way?

Who: you as the leader, possibly with HR
  2. Step 2

    Mapping

I get to know the team through short conversations or a team test, so we know the starting point and can measure against it later.

E.g. with the team test and a shared team code
  3. Step 3

    Modules

Workshops with input, dialogue and exercises close to your everyday work: trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results.

One day or several modules · ideally with time to try things out in between
  4. Step 4

    Agreements for everyday work

We gather what you will do differently and how you will hold each other to it.

Concrete agreements on meetings, feedback and collaboration
  5. Step 5

    Follow-up

We look at what has shifted and what needs more attention.

As needed · e.g. a new team test

Between modules the team keeps working in everyday life. That is where the change happens, and the experience from there is what we build on.

My approach

Teams that dare to disagree are also the ones that can hold each other to their agreements.

How I work

What happens between people

I work with the team as a community, on a good day and on a bad one. Three approaches recur in most programmes.

01

You, them and it

The individual’s role, the team’s dynamics and the strategy you need to succeed with together. The three are always connected.

02

Five levels in a team

Trust, conflict, commitment, accountability and results. A model that gives a shared language for where the team stands.

03

Feedback that works

A simple tool for saying things directly without making them personal: situation, behaviour, effect and wish.

“Det har været meget meningsfuldt og trygt at arbejde sammen med dig, også i en sårbar proces som denne. Teamet synes også, at du var rigtig god, og de følte tillid til dig fra første møde. Tusind tak for at lede os igennem denne fase, som vi vil tage med videre.”
